With the number of event riders varying from year to year, it has made sense for us to utilize the parking lot of the former Super Target store.  Here are a few points on why:

 

1. It offers a large, safe area to congregate.

2. Where we park is out of the way of most traffic.

3. During cycling warm-ups, we are not congesting the trail itself.

4. The comforting, tasty treats from the adjacent businesses.

5. The aforementioned businesses have well maintained restrooms.

6. The pay lot routinely fills to full capacity on the weekends that play host to nice weather. So, it has always been thought considerate for us to allow for those regular trail users to have first dibs on that lot.  Please keep in mind those users include:

 

• In-line Skaters.

• Parents with strollers.

• Cycling-oriented families with young children in toe.

• Fido & Rex out taking their owners for a walk.

• The Elderly & Retirees.

• Wheelchair and other handi-capable athletes.
